Ego Olori, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cecilia Comfort Care, has over 28 years of experience in the health sector. She began her career as a Care Support Worker and progressed to become a registered Adult Nurse. Alongside her clinical practice, she achieved a Master’s degree in Public Health Practice and a Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health.

In addition to her leadership role at Cecilia Comfort Care, Ego is a qualified Health Visitor and has extensive experience working across both acute and community care settings. Her professional background is complemented by significant personal experience, having previously cared for her elderly mother and, as a mother of four, fully understanding the commitment, empathy, and dedication required to support individuals with care needs.

Ego is deeply committed to ensuring that older adults are respected, supported, and cared for with dignity within the comfort of their own homes. Her dedication and values were formally recognised in 2023 when she was nominated for the Lynn Jackson Nurse of the Year award at the NHS Lothian Celebrating Success Awards.

She is widely recognised for her kindness, patience, flexibility, and adaptability, consistently building strong, trusting relationships with those she supports. NHS Lothian highlighted her person-centred philosophy through her guiding principle: “Take your time, I am listening,” which reflects her attentive and empathetic nature.

Under Ego Olori’s management, Cecilia Comfort Care received a low-risk score following the Care Inspectorate’s registration scrutiny assessment. This outcome reflects strong governance, effective management systems, and full compliance with regulatory standards.
